Rugged Robots For Harsh Environments
Chasing new horizons requires new gears.
We are not simply creating another robot; we are pioneering a new approach to robot design. Traditional technologies result in robots that are overly complex, expensive, and lacking in versatility when tasked with navigating challenging environments. Our innovative design redefines robot construction, making them inherently and effortlessly adaptable to any harsh environment. Our robotic arms deliver unmatched performances, reliability and efficiency while withstanding extreme conditions, such as operating in radioactive, explosive, space, and underwater environments.
We redefines
how robots are built
Fluid Wires are the only transmission system that
can accurately transfer forces and torques across
large distances without additional sensors.
The external actuation box contains
motors, sensors, and electronics.
The arm features a hollow structure,
making it inherently capable of
withstanding harsh environments.
Technology
Fluid Wire Technology enables the construction of any sort of innovative fully-electric force-controllable robotic arms with electric motors and sensors located in a sealed remote actuation unit. The power from the motors is transmitted to the robot joints via our patented high-efficiency transmission system, known as “Fluid Wires.
Delocalizing, sealing and/or shielding the actuation unit makes our system harsh-environment-proof without requiring additional structural complexity and without tradeoffs on performance. Our robots have no limits when interacting with water, high-temperature, pressurized environments, vacuum, reactive means and explosive atmospheres. smooth and efficient operation.
The Advantages
Embedding motors, sensors and electronic components in our external actuation box offers shielding, sealing and cooling possibilities that are not achievable when implementing traditional layouts.
Thanks to the mechanical transparency and low-friction properties of our robots, they exhibit exceptional manipulation skills, dynamic performance, and precise force control.
By placing the motors remotely, we not only protect them but also create extremely slender and lightweight robotic arms. This makes them perfect for accessing narrow spaces, installing on mobile platforms, and interacting safely and easily with their surroundings.
Our robots feature remotely-actuated joints that are uniform in design. This simplifies manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance, resulting in significant cost savings.
All our robotic arms, designed for various environments and sectors, share similar working principles, designs, and layouts. This standardization enhances versatility and reduces costs, making it a core feature of our products.
